Hello there! This looks like a very interesting game, so good job!

We also make our games using the Godot Engine and have made many games in the past.

I personally want to give some you some tips because what you have here looks really promising!

- While exporting projects to Windows using the Godot Engine, make sure to tick "Embed PCK", as this removes the need for a second file for your game to run (Gulf.pck). In the past this used to stop icons from working, but it has been fixed for a long time.

- Customizing your page really goes a long way to get people to play your game. When people hover over your game page, the first two pictures that you have uploaded get shown to them. You can always make the first two uploads gifs to attract more people. Gifs automatically play when someone hovers over your game page, so it is a great opportunity to show off some gameplay or visuals.

- You can make gifs by:

1- Recording your gameplay using an app like MSI Afterburner.

2- Dragging and dropping your videos in an app like Blender to edit or combine them however you like. Then exporting without sound and a with a good compression so that the end video is compact.

3- Use something like Adobe Express to convert your video to a gif. Make sure that the final gif is not over 5MB, as itch.io doesn't accept more.

4- (Extra Tip) You can use a website like RedKetchup when you are making icons for your games.

Good luck in your game making endeavours!

Thanks so much for the advice! I've only just discovered this platform and I already love the community. There's a lot I have planned for this game so I'll definitely give it a fresh coat of paint.
